We are currently seeking a Director of Finance. This position is a critical organizational resource and assists the Controller in all aspects of the financial function, directs the operations of the Finance department, and performs general accounting and financial analysis work, including audit and tax matters.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Direct supervisor of AP, AR, Membership and Billing Accountant and Payroll and HR Administrator.
• Assist with year-end audit work-paper preparation, annual budgeting process and ongoing budget analysis.
• Monthly account analysis and reconciliation and reconciliation of all bank and investment accounts.
• Prepare Chamber and Affiliates Federal (990, 1120), State (PA 101, BCO-10) and Local Annual Tax Returns and handle all internal and external tax matters.
• Monitor the reporting requirements of any Chamber or Chamber affiliate Government Grants to ensure that responsible Business Unit is in compliance.
• Manage all banking relationships for the Chamber and affiliates; cash management;
manage Credit Card Processor relationship, including analysis of fees and affinity program.
• Manage the Chamber’s T&E Expenses, Visa Purchasing Card Program, Document Certification Program and Sports Ticket allocations.
• Assist with Benefits Administration work in helping prepare IRS Form 5500's for the 401k Plan and the Life and AD&D plans.
• Review semi-monthly payroll and import into Financial software and Reconcile 941’s.
• Provide financial support for the Chamber Foundation, Greater Philadelphia Alliance for Capital & Technologies, ETC Foundation, Hispanic Chamber and Citizens Crime Commission and Manage all affiliate relationships.
• Provide staff with assistance on budgets, grants and other finance requests and assist Member Engagement, Events and other business units with collections.
• Calculate, report and communicate semi-monthly Membership Advisor sales commissions and quarterly bonuses, as well as year-end bonuses.
• Review and approve invoices and cash receipts for external and internal affiliates and entities.
• Responsible for set-up, security maintenance and training of employees on Financial Edge.
• Special Projects.

Job Specifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant work experience
• Exceptional interpersonal abilities; professional written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented, possessing the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities
• A self-starter who is able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet critical deadlines and complete projects in a timely manner
• Computer proficiencies in Windows, MS Office (Expert in Excel preferred)
• Strong work ethic; approaches work with a sense of purpose and urgency
• A collaborative spirit

Work Conditions
The Chamber is currently working in a hybrid work environment that allows for a flexible work schedule. When in the offices, this individual will work in a typical office environment. On a standard work day, the majority of time is spent sitting at a desk, using the computer and speaking on the phone. However, at times, this role will be required to attend Chamber events or related outside meetings/events on behalf of the Chamber. These meetings/events may take place outside of regular business hours and outside of center city Philadelphia.
