Description: Responsible for providing housing counseling, with an emphasis on foreclosure intervention including diversion and default and delinquency counseling, advocacy, outreach, and workshop facilitation. Provide counseling for housing clients with issues including foreclosure intervention, default and delinquency, HEMAP applications, Pro Se Petition to Postpone, anti-predatory lending, real estate tax lien hardship agreements, deed and other related problems, housing consumer education, tenant counseling, and, information and referral. Oversees completion and submission of monthly billing and reporting to program funders. Home visits and attendance at weekly conciliation conferences required.

Requirements: HUD certification in housing counseling preferred, Neighborworks Certification preferred; ability to become certified within 6 months of hire a plus; Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred; 3-5 years of experience with housing services preferred, specifically Default and Delinquency counseling; Familiarity with other human service systems preferred; Knowledge in aging issues and resources preferred.

Position requires a valid driver’s license, proof of car insurance and access to a vehicle.

Pay: $39,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
